Tiffany Cecchetto

Past Chair

Tiffany Cecchetto is the Chair at Meals on Wheels (Sudbury) and a Partner at KPMG LLP, where she oversees the firm’s Northern Ontario offices. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

With over twenty years of experience in external financial statement audits and reviews, Tiffany has developed significant expertise working with a diverse range of clients, including private enterprises, not-for-profit organizations, and public sector entities. At KPMG, she focuses on delivering tailored guidance to address the unique financial challenges faced by Northern Ontario organizations.

Beyond her professional role, Tiffany is actively engaged in her community. She serves as a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario Council. Her involvement in these roles reflects her deep commitment to both her profession and local community initiatives.

Ashley Thomson

Ashley Thomson is librarian emeritus from Laurentian University. In addition to being on the board of Meals on Wheels, he serves on the board of the Greater Sudbury Public Library. Previously he was on the board of the United Way for 9 years (2 as chair) and on the board of the Children’s Aid Society for 26 years (12 as chair). He has been married to his wife Gail for 35 years and has one son currently living in Sudbury and one daughter residing in Montreal. He also has four grandchildren.

Corissa Vande Weghe

Corissa Vande Weghe

Treasurer

Born and raised in Sudbury Ontario, Corissa obtained her Bachelors in Accounting and Financial Management and Masters in Accounting from the University of Waterloo in 2018.

Throughout her education, she completed student placements at KPMG Sudbury, before joining the organization full-time in 2018. As a promoter of continuous learning, she obtained her CPA, CA designation in 2019, and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Masters of Science in Accounting and Cognitive Analytics in 2020.

In 2021, Corissa left public accounting and joined the team at Health Sciences North. Healthcare has always been something she is passionate about, and she enjoys bringing simplified solutions to complex problems in an ever changing industry. She is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer.

Corissa joined the Board of Meals on Wheels Sudbury in 2020, after being matched to the organization from the She’s on Board Program. She was elected Treasurer of the Board in 2022.

Natalie Parent

Natalie Parent

Director

Natalie Parent is a Human Resources Manager for Pioneer Construction and Fisher Wavy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Law and Justice and a Minor in Labour Studies (HR stream) from Laurentian University.

Natalie brings a wealth of expertise in recruitment, retention, policy development, and industrial relations. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Conflict Management. Her professional journey includes significant roles at SNOLAB, where she worked for three years, and at Laurentian University for twelve years in various capacities within the Office of the University Secretariat, the Human Resources Department, and the Office of the Vice-President Academic & Provost.

Beyond her professional achievements, Natalie is dedicated to community service. In addition to serving as a Board member on Meals in Wheels since 2022, she serves on the Board of Directors for Sudbury and Area Victim Services and the Sudbury Women’s Centre (SWC) since 2019. In 2023, Natalie was honored with the YWCA Women of Distinction Award.

Natalie is passionate about creating a positive impact and advocating for the underserved population, championing women’s rights, and promoting self-worth and self-sufficiency.

Abdullah Masood

Director

Abdullah Masood’s family relocated to Sudbury from Pakistan in 2000. Inspired by the support they received from the Sudbury community, Abdullah is committed to giving back.

In his professional life as a Wealth Advisor at ScotiaMcLeod, he leverages his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Laurentian University to provide unique financial planning solutions for his clients. Abdullah also dedicates time to philanthropic causes, integrating them into his financial strategies.

Outside of work, he actively participates in community initiatives, is an active Rotarian, enjoys sports, gym time, and exploring Sudbury’s diverse restaurant scene.

Julie Lacroix

Julie Lacroix is a multifaceted individual whose life and career have been marked by a deep commitment to both professional excellence and community service. Born with a natural inclination towards understanding human dynamics, Julie embarked on her academic journey at Laurentian University, where she graduated with a degree in General Arts. This foundational education provided her with a broad perspective and a solid framework for her future endeavors.

Julie’s career in Human Resources spans an impressive 28 years, during which she has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise in various facets of HR management. Her journey began with a passion for connecting with people and understanding the intricacies of workplace dynamics. Over the years, Julie has held pivotal roles in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. Her strategic acumen and people-centric approach have consistently driven her to innovate and implement HR solutions that foster positive work environments and drive organizational success.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Julie is deeply involved in giving back to her community. For the past 5 years, she has volunteered her time and energy with Meals on Wheels in Sudbury, Ontario. Her dedication to volunteering reflects her compassionate nature and commitment to making a difference beyond the workplace.

Jonah D’Angelo

Second Vice Chair

Jonah D’Angelo serves as the Second Vice Chair of Meals on Wheels with a rich background in health and community engagement. He holds a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education, a Master’s degree in Human Kinetics, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Laurentian University. Jonah’s expertise extends beyond academia; he has a robust history of working with various community groups and has previously served as the Volunteer Coordinator for both Meals on Wheels Sudbury and The Hospital for Sick Children.

Currently, Jonah is an Advisory Consultant at The Northern Center for Advanced Technology (NORCAT) and a sessional professor at Laurentian University. His research and outreach efforts are centered on preventative health, underscoring his commitment to fostering healthier communities. Jonah’s diverse experience and dedication make him a valuable asset to Meals on Wheels, where he continues to champion the organization’s mission with passion and expertise.

Zach Huckstep

Director

Zach Huckstep is an IT Specialist at Lopes Limited and a Director on the Board of Meals on Wheels (Sudbury). He holds a Network Technician Diploma from Cambrian College, where he completed a two year program that laid the foundation for his expertise in information technology.

In his current role at Lopes Limited, Zach is responsible for managing IT infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of technology systems. His professional journey is marked by a commitment to excellence and continuous learning.

Notably, Zach participated in the Sudbury Rocks Half Marathon in 2023, where he raised over $2800 for the Northern Cancer Foundation by going door-to-door. This showcases his dedication to personal fitness and community involvement. In addition to his professional and athletic pursuits, he has a keen interest in website development and professional photography, reflecting his passion for both technology and creativity.

Zach’s role as a Director on the Board of Meals on Wheels (Sudbury) underscores his dedication to community service and his commitment to supporting vital local initiatives. His diverse skills and accomplishments highlight his ability to contribute meaningfully both professionally and within the community.

Joline Gaudette

Director

Joline Gaudette has dedicated the past 35 years to the social services sector, most of which as an Executive Assistant. Her extensive experience working with Boards of Directors has equipped her with a deep understanding of the intricacies of Board governance activities. Joline has been a member of the Meals on Wheels Board of Directors since September 2023 and is the incoming Chair of the Board Governance Committee. She hopes that her knowledge and dedication will make an impact on the well-being of the community.

Outside of her professional life, Joline and her partner enjoy spending time at their camp, surrounded by family, friends, and especially their two granddaughters. Joline is enthusiastic about the opportunity to further contribute to the Board of Directors.

 

Jordan Greenough

Jordan Greenough

With a decade of experience in both the security industry and law enforcement, Jordan brings a depth of expertise and leadership. His career, which includes five years in security and seven years in law enforcement, is complemented by four years in management. Jordan is also pursuing a Master of Business Administration, expected in February 2025, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Management.

Jordan’s commitment to community well-being and service is evident in his extensive volunteer work, including being honoured with the Civic Award in 2017 and receiving commendation from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He has been an active participant in his organization’s Continuous Improvement Committee since 2021 and the Peer Support Committee since 2024, reflecting a dedication to collaboration, innovation, and support.

 

Sara Balagh

Sara Balagh

Director

Sara Balagh is an associate in the Labour and Employment Department at Weaver, Simmons LLP, where she advises and represents employers across Ontario. She works with both public and private sector organizations, offering expertise on a wide range of issues including employment standards, wrongful dismissal claims, workplace investigations, and policy compliance. Sara’s legal practice spans federal and provincial jurisdictions, ensuring comprehensive support to employers navigating complex employment matters.

Originally from Afghanistan, Sara earned her Bachelor of Laws and practiced law for two years before participating in the prestigious Fulbright Program. She went on to receive her Master of Laws, with Distinction, in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University. Following her articles with Weaver, Simmons LLP, Sara was called to the bar in July 2022.

Sara brings a wealth of international experience and a deep understanding of legal frameworks, making her a valuable contributor to our board.
